I’m Andrea!
I am an ADHD coach with ADHD.
I spent my whole life wondering what in the world was wrong with me. Why I could never seem to focus on one thing at a time or see goals to the finish line.
I get what it’s like to live as a woman with ADHD. And whether you’re diagnosed or undiagnosed, the struggles and frustrations are the same. They’re real and they weigh you down.
But I’m here to tell you things don’t have to stay the same.
I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 36. For as long as I can remember, I could never understand why I had trouble doing things that other people seemed to do so naturally.
I dropped out of college during my sophomore year, as I just couldn’t keep up. It was just one thing in the long line of failures in my life. I knew I was smart, but didn’t understand why I couldn’t just follow through on anything.
While friends my age were building families and businesses, I worked dead-end jobs and dreamed dreams that I knew would never be mine. I was great at planning, but could never seem to follow through with my plans. I felt incapable, lazy and stupid.
One day, as I was relaxing with my husband-he looked at me and said “I think you have ADHD.” I was flabbergasted and promptly told him he was crazy. I thought no more of it until my 10 year old nephew was diagnosed. I decided to research ADHD and was absolutely floored. Every symptom described my life.
I made an appointment with my doctor and was diagnosed the next day. I began a course of medication and began working with an ADHD coach of my own. She helped me discover my passion for ADHD coaching. I haven’t looked back since.
My favorite thing about being an ADHD coach is seeing my amazing clients have an “Aha!” moment. I have the privilege of helping people to learn that it is possible to live an AMAZING life with ADHD!
